As Tumu Whakarae (CEO) of Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, Helmut is a seasoned director, executive, and consultant with expertise in change management, economic development, strategic planning, public policy, and finance.
He has extensive consulting experience, particularly in health, and has served on several boards, including PHARMAC and Capital & Coast District Health Board.
With a BCA and MBA, he began in accounting and finance, transitioned to economic development, and ran his consultancy, Arrus Knoble Developments, for 12 years. A CEO for 14 years, Helmut is passionate about enhancing Ngāti Toa’s well-being and prosperity.
